Our central goal is to empower the residents of the Phoebus area through asset-based community development (ABCD). This is accomplished by listening to the community, identifying existing gifts, talents, and interests, and supporting neighbors as they develop associations and work together to tackle community issues and achieve great things. A strong Phoebus is a Phoebus where residents build connections with themselves, are invested in community-based initiatives, and in control of their own destiny.

• We listen for the gifts in our community. Every member of the community has gifts to give.
• We join our gifts together to form community-led associations. These gifts become amplified, productive, and celebrated.
• We welcome all our neighbors, because we value their gifts and need to share our own. There are no strangers, just friends we haven’t met.
